Underwood is next MCC president
Former Bradford League player Derek Underwood is to become the next MCC president.
The 62-year-old, who featured for Bankfoot in 1990, will take over from Mike Brearley on October 1.
Former England left-arm spinner Underwood, who played in 86 tests spanning 16 years, first became an MCC member 40 years ago.
His first-class career lasted 25 seasons, during which time he made 676 appearances.
Underwood, who pushed the ball through at virtually medium pace and could be unplayable on a difficult wicket, made his Kent debut aged 17 and was the youngest player to reach 100 wickets in his debut campaign.
