    Police take street meeting

Police are urging Bradford residents to meet them on the street to tackle anti-social behaviour together.

Neighbourhood Policing Team officers, covering the Allerton, Clayton, Fairweather Green, Heaton, Frizinghall and Thornton areas, are planning a street briefing on Monday. They hope residents will tell them about anti-social problems they have been experiencing so action can be taken.

The meeting, at 6.30pm at the junction of Dale Croft Rise and Grasleigh Way, Allerton, follows an increase in high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols and the distribution of crime prevention leaflets.

Acting Chief Inspector Paul Hepworth, of Airedale and North Bradford Police NPT, said: "We have had a number of reports of anti-social behaviour in the area recently. We want to hear from residents who have experienced this and we will, where possible, take immediate action.

"This is a chance for the public to meet their NPT and tell us what issues they want us to take action on."
