Four arrests after man killed on M62

Four men have been arrested after a man died in a collision on the M62.

Part of the motorway is still closed after the incident, which happened just after 11.30pm last night near to Junction 25 near Brighouse, on the westbound carriageway.

The male passenger, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had been in a blue VW Golf.

The driver of the second vehicle, a Renault HGV, was taken to Calderdale Royal Hospital with serious injuries.

Police say a third vehicle which stopped at the scene, a white Toyota, may also have been involved in the incident.

Although no one was injured in that vehicle, its four male occupants were arrested in connection with the incident.

Anyone who was driving past at the time and may have seen the white Toyota and the blue Golf just prior to the incident should contact the Motorway Unit on (01924) 292915.
