Crew moves gas cylinders from blaze
Firefighters had to clear two propane gas cylinders from rubbish set on fire close to shops in Cleckheaton last night.
The cylinders, one five feet long, had been dumped among rubbish at the back of Fourth Avenue.
It took a fire crew from Cleckheaton, who got the call just after 7pm, 45 minutes to make the area safe.
A fire service spokesman said: "It's the second time we've been called out to this same site in three weeks but the first time we've found cylinders there.
"People are using that spot as a dumping ground and it's spilling out towards gardens and the backs of the shops. We're going to contact the Council to get them to shift it. It's dangerous."
