Police were today hunting a sex attacker who dragged a woman into an alleyway off Thornton Road, Bradford, last night The 25-year-old woman had been walking alone at about 6pm when she was attacked in Weetwood Road in Girlington.
She suffered minor injuries in what police described as a "serious sexual assault".
She was today being interviewed by specially-trained police officers.
Detective Superintendent Paul Kennedy, who is leading the inquiry, said: "This happened at a time of day when many people were driving home along Thornton Road.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw anything or has any information to contact the police.
"I would urge women to take extra care when walking in this area. Patrols of uniformed officers have been increased."
The suspect has been described as an Asian male, 18-22 years old, 5ft 10ins tall and of a medium build. He had a round face and was wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and black training shoes.
