The countdown has begun to celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 27, by councils up and down the country.
The main event will be in Chatham this year, but wherever you are there will be special events and parades.
In the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas the names of 67 servicemen and women who have been killed in action recently have been added to the memorial wall to bring it up to date and plans are underway to replicate the Basra Memorial Wall and erect that replica on site.
Special flags have been produced for the day and one will be flown in Centenary Square in Bradford.
* Were you involved in Beira off East Africa in 1966/1975?
The Navy News is producing supplements covering events using the experiences of officers and ratings who were actually there.
