World War Two veterans, spouses, widows and carers can apply now for Lottery funding to visit the places they served in.

Heroes Return 2 is now available to all who served in World War Two to visit battlefields and memorials and areas of combat all over the world during 2009 and 2010.

Hundreds have received help already for D-Day events, but if you want to visit Kohima, the River Kwai or Monte Casino, apply now. Ring 0845 00 00 121 and ask for an application pack.

DIARY DATES: Today (Tuesday): Bradford Branch Royal Naval Association meets in the Feversham Street headquarters of the Bradford Sea Cadets at 20.00 hours.

Prince of Wales Own meets in the Bradford Moor Conservative Club at 19.30 hours.

Monday (April 27): Association of Wrens meet at 13.30 hours in the CVS Building, 19 Sunbridge Road.

Thornton Branch of the Royal British Legion meets at Thornton Conservative Club at 19.00 hours.
