PLAYERS and staff from Bradford City will take part in the club’s carol service tonight.

Manager Phil Parkinson and his squad will be at St Michael and All Angels Church in Shelf to join in with the World War One Christmas Truce-themed service.

The Reverend Andy Grieff, who is Bradford City chaplain, said: “We will be commemorating that it is 100 years since the troops put their arms down and had a football match.”

The service is part of a nationwide Silent Night Carols initiative. It starts at 7pm at the Carr House Road church.
