A FORMER Orpington schoolgirl is now in the finals of the Teacher of the Year awards.
Teresa Sullivan, who now teaches at the Colden Common Primary School in Winchester, attended St Mary and St Joseph's RC Secondary School in Sidcup before going off to teacher training college.
After being nominated by her school for the Hampshire heat of the award, she then went on to win the southern area final and will now take part in the final being held in Drury Lane in October.
Teresa was brought up in Orpington and attended St Philomena's RC Primary School. Her proud parents Terence and Margaret still live in Mungo Park Way.
