PUPILS of a Gravesend special school were on their marks last week when they were presented with a physical education award.
Ifield Community Special School, in Cedar Avenue, Gravesend, was given the Sportsmark award for offering its pupils a balanced physical education programme and a range of out-of-hours sports activities.
The award is given by Sport England, the body which is responsible for sport development in England.
KCC's cabinet member for sport, Councillor Charles Findlay, said: “Ifield has done very well to get a Sportsmark it is one of only 39 schools in the country to be awarded one.”
