An Ilkley-based car finance company which has provided funds to sports stars is sponsoring Baildon-based golf professional Dan Thomas.
Bridford Financial Solutions is backing Dan, who is only two wins away from the full European Tour and playing alongside the biggest names in golf.
The independent financial solutions company works with some of the world’s largest financial institutions and has provided more than over £200 million for clients including stars such as international footballers.
The firm’s owner Tim Marlow said: “We are delighted to team up with Dan and see the sponsorship as a key way for us to raise awareness of our company in a totally new arena. Dan has impressed us with his professionalism and ambition and we are delighted to be able to help him financially during the season while at the same time developing and growing our business.”
Dan said: “Playing golf professionally is financially very tough and sponsors are absolutely crucial so I’m very grateful to Tim and really looking forward to working with his team at Bridford Financial Solutions.
“I’m currently on the Europro Tour and my goal this season is to get on to the full European Tour and I’m only two wins away.”
Dan’s is also being backed by Skipton accountancy firm Pearson & Associates.
