Lights, camera, action, for fundraising

9:26am Wednesday 8th July 2009

A group of workers at a Brighouse insurance company will ride 250 miles across Yorkshire on monkey bikes to raise money for charity, stopping off at some of the region’s most famous film locations along the way.

Employees at Bankstone, an insurance claims company, will lead a flotilla of 15 low-powered motorcycles across the region this weekend in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The group will stop at ten film locations including the Cow and Calf near Ilkley, featured in Calendar Girls, Aysgarth Falls made famous in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Castle Howard, filmed for Brideshead Revisited.

Employees at other firms in the motorcycle insurance sector will also be taking part and at each stop, using costumes and props, they will re-enact pivotal scenes from the films.
