Denholme-based C R Taylor Timber Ltd is celebrating 25 years of sponsoring grassroots cricket in West Yorkshire with the formation of its own social team.
The family-owned timber merchants, which also has a branch on Thornton Road in Bradford, has been supporting cricket development at the nearby Denholme CC as well as Otley and Ilkley's cricket clubs.
The firm's links with the game run deep with Gloucestershire's Ian Fisher, son of Taylor's Bradford branch manager Geoff, already making progress in the professional game after coming through the ranks at Denholme.
The new team, to be known as the Timberwolves, has played one social match and is planning to introduce a six or seven-match fixture list for 2008.
