Silsden soccer team gets sponsorship deal with Shipley-based Select Group

Regional security group Select has signed a kit sponsorship deal with the Silsden Under-15s A team.

The squad, now preparing for a new campaign in the first division of the Craven Junior Football League, were runners-up last season.

Shipley-based Select Group has provided a new strip and rain jackets for players and team helpers. It is part of a move to raise the firm’s profile in West and North Yorkshire.

Select also sponsors Keighley Cougars RLFC and has agreed a first-team kit sponsorship package with Keighley Albion FC.

Marketing manager Sarah Waddington said: “We welcome the opportunity to become involved with Silsden AFC, one of the leading amateur soccer clubs in the region.

“A major part of our wider sporting sponsorship concentrates on youth, as we believe team sports activities are very important for children and young people, helping them to develop their skills, improve their health and fitness, and feel part of a ‘winning team’.”
