A Skipton-based PR company is helping to realise an African student’s dream of one day working for the United Nations.
Moule Media, based in Gladstone Street, is sponsoring a student in The Gambia.
The business, run by former journalist Robin Moule, is funding a nine-month further education course for 25-year-old Steven Gibba at the Management Development Institute.
Mr Moule, who launched Moule Media in 1997, said: “I met Steven while on holiday in The Gambia. Young people like him have little or no opportunity to go on to further education without sponsorship.
"When I asked about his course and learned of its value, I was happy for the business to help out.”
Steven, who lives with more than 30 members of his family in the village of Kartong, is studying for a gender and development diploma.
