Skipton firm to help others through recession

Skipton Business Finance will now be helping to deliver a Government-backed scheme to help firms out of the recession.

SBF, part of the Skipton Building Society Group, has joined the panel of approved lenders for the Government’s Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme.

Under the scheme, businesses with a turnover of up to £25 million can access loans, 75 per cent of which are guaranteed by the Government.

The loans can be used to meet short-term cash flow difficulties and restructuring as well as fund growth opportunities.

Andy Grantham, sales and marketing director, said: “During the downturn, the Government promised businesses more support via the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme and it’s exactly this type of scheme that can help improve a business’s cash flow, foster growth and create new jobs.”
