I thought I’d use this month’s column to highlight the work Yorkshire Forward is still doing and is committed to doing in Bradford. With recent media coverage on Yorkshire Forward’s closure, you might assume that all work has come to a standstill – but let me assure you that is not the case.

Last month Yorkshire Forward held its annual general meeting at the Midland Hotel in Bradford. A total of 230 people attended to review Yorkshire Forward’s performance over the last year. The annual report findings were presented, and this was followed by a Question Time-style debate with panel members from the public and private sector who represent the region.

The future looks bright for Bradford

For months now it seems like the development of New Victoria Place has been at a standstill with its future being debated along with past decisions, but recently the scheme took a positive step forward.
