PLANS for chemical treatment work to take place at a unit on a Baildon business park have been unanimously approved by councillors.
Precision engineering firm Produmax applied for permission to use nitric acid and sulphuric acid to treat materials at its site on the Sapper Jordan Rossi Park on Otley Road.
But some neighbouring companies objected.
Gerald Misbert (pictured with Deana Misbert), managing director of GSM Aluminium, which is based in a unit nearby, said granting permission for the use of chemicals set a precedent for the future and changed the character of the park. But the Council’s environmental health service and the Environment Agency did not object to the project.
