TWO businesses in Bradford have been boosted by funding from Bradford Council.
The Craft Market, based in Darley Street, and Shoe Clearance, in City Road, have received cash from the Council’s City Centre Growth Zone scheme.
The Craft Market is a dedicated craft shop offering hand-made products and personalised gifts, and Shoe Clearance will sell discounted footwear for adults and children from a store in Kirkgate.
Catriona Naylor, director of Craft Market Ltd, produces and sells her own handcrafted items. There is space for six market stalls to also work at the site and three have already been let.
In the summer, Mrs Naylor plans to expand the market to include more traders.
She also wants to run workshops aimed towards people with learning difficulties, autism and other vulnerable groups.
Shoe Clearance has been trading for more than two years and has opened stores in Sheffield and Nelson.
