ORGANISERS of a major conference and exhibition to celebrate and promote Bradford’s business pedigree have rebranded the event in bid to give it broader appeal.

The fifth Bradford Business Conference, which last year attracted more than 800 delegates and 50 exhibition stands, will this year be staged as YEN EXPO 2016.

Sheraz Malik, director of Yorkshire Enterprise Network, said the new branding had been chosen to give the event a more contemporary feel and reflect the fact that delegates attend from across the county.

The conference and associated exhibition will again be held in the David Hockney Building at Bradford College onTuesday October 25.

It is again being organised in conjunction with the Telegraph & Argus, along with partners Bradford College and Bradford-based Malik House Business Centres.

Mr Malik said YEN EXPO 2016 will be bigger and better than the previous event.

It will feature a broad cross-section of seminars, business clinics and networking events, along with a line-up of inspirational speakers.

There are plans to recreate the popular Bradford Regeneration section, showcasing the revitalised city centre leisure scene, and to introduce a new Creative Zone for artists, makers, designers and other creative businesses.

Sheraz Malik said: “We’re really excited to announce the date and venue of the 2016 conference – which is back with a new contemporary branding.

“Now in its fifth year, the Bradford Business Conference is evolving. There will be some elements returning, to build on the successes of previous events, like the fantastic state-of-the-art venue, the well-attended seminars and clinics and the popular hospitality sector exhibition area.

“But there will also be lots of new ideas – and we’ve changed the name to give a broader feel, reflecting the fact that exhibitors and delegates come from right across the county, and recognising the re-emergence of Bradford as a regional business centre.”
