A NEW administration system introduced as part of a £500,000 investment programme will help boost growth at a Bradford cash plan provider.

Sovereign Health Care, based on Manningham Lane, has introduced a more flexible IT policy management system which will provide the platform for its future growth.

The Stratum system is designed to improve customers’ experience, increase flexibility, reduce costs and further improve Sovereign’s claims process, including paving the way to allowing online claims.

Russ Piper, Sovereign chief executive, said: “As Sovereign Health Care grows and we continue to launch new products to our customers, it was becoming clear that we needed to put in place an advanced and robust system which can not only meet the demands of the present but allow us to adapt for the future.

“The new system will also enable us to develop our management information which will help identify and mitigate risk more effectively than previously, something we are required to do to meet regulatory requirements.

“We have invested in Stratum to make sure we have a system that provides the flexibility and stability we know we will need as we continue to develop our offering. Our primary concern is to ensure we are giving our policyholders the best possible service, and Stratum is a key part of this.

“During the implementation of Stratum, members of the team worked exceptionally hard in order to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. Thanks to the extra hours and work put in by the team, our customers experienced no disruption during the move.”

The new system created a framework which will eventually allow business and individual policyholders to access their own policy and submit claims online, simplifying the process and and ultimately speeding up claims payments.

Stratum will also help the development of new health care cash plan packages by allowing Sovereign to more easily update existing cash plans and create new products .
