A BRADFORD-based specialist packaging equipment supplier is celebrating its first decade with a full order book and has recently launched new affordable technology

Advanced Dynamics Ltd. is now a leading supplier, providing automation systems which improve production efficiency.

The business was formed through the merger of two long-standing companies, WLT Ltd which had operated since 1980 and Crusader Europe, founded in 1998 , which were run by Mike Essler and Malcolm Little and had collaborated closely.

Advanced Dynamics has expanded its equipment portfolio for industries such as food, drinks, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, toiletries, printing and other related sectors. It supplies wrapping, labelling and feeding systems and is the UK distributor for leading global machine manufacturers such as Pack Leader, Köra-Packmat and Eurokett, as well as supplying cutting edge sheet counters made by B.Matic.—

Now a leading supplier in the packaging industry, the company celebrates a decade in business with a full order book and a mission to provide customers with invaluable automatic solutions to improve their production efficiency, quality and costs.

In 2010, Advanced Dynamics moved from Thornton Road to a larger base on Staithgate Lane, near the M606 which has also been expanded to include a mezzanine and a permanent 800 sq ft exhibition site for showcasing equipment.

Growth has enabled the firm to increase its workforce to ten people .

Director Malcolm Little said the company's ability to listen to what customers want and offer bespoke solutions, as well as tackling projects which other suppliers were reluctant to handle, had been the cornerstone of Advanced Dynamics’ success over the last ten years.

He said: “It has been an eventful ten years since Mike and I joined forces. From riding out the recession of 2008 to the challenges of investing in new premises and diverging into different manufacturing sectors to meet the growing demand from industry for automatic solutions to boost productivity, there has never been a dull moment.

“In addition to offering a range of systems for applying labels efficiently and accurately every time – freeing staff for more productive tasks – Advanced Dynamics has recently launched new affordable technology for the de-stacking of pots and tubs for filling of soups, stews and sauces.”

Advanced Dynamics also supplies shrink sleeve equipment which can be customised for almost any container, such as providing increased space for branding, protective security seals and tamper proof packaging.

The company is seeing increasing demand for sleeve labelling equipment, which has been used mainly for food and beverages, from non-food sectors, including cosmetics, toiletries, pharmaceuticals, household care products and other markets from milk containers to sun screen bottles.
