Accountancy firm is joined by recruiters for new executive search operation

A Bradford accountancy firm has further expanded its range of services by launching a new national head-hunting operation in conjunction with two leading recruitment specialists.

Clough & Company, which has offices in Cleckheaton and Keighley, has joined forces with reruiters Adrian Davies and Richard Sherrard to launch Project:Search, which will specialise in executive search and selection across various sectors.

Both Adrian Davies and Richard Sherrard have held senior positions at well-known executive search firms. They will operate from Clough & Company’s Cleckheaton head office to offer a full range of board level and executive recruitment services to clients ranging from small and medium firms to large companies throughout the UK.

Adrian said: “Recruiting the right people at the senior end of the market has always been critical, but in the current economic climate it’s more important than ever to find the right person as quickly and efficiently as possible.

“As a result, we felt there was a gap in the market for a firm that can combine in-depth experience with the flexibility to completely tailor its services towards every individual client regardless of what industry they work in or where they are based.”

Richard added: “Creating this partnership with Clough & Company gives us access to a large potential client base as well as an established brand that has a reputation for building strong relationships with everyone it works with.

“Both Adrian and myself have more than 25 years of combined recruitment experience and during this time we have always followed a similar ethos, so when the opportunity arose to work in conjunction with the firm it was an easy decision to make.”

Steven Gash, Clough & Company practice chairman, said: “We’ve worked with Adrian and Richard in the past and they have an excellent track-record in the recruitment industry, so we are delighted to launch Project:Search under the Clough & Company umbrella.

“We’re continually looking at how we can expand the range of services that we offer and have recently launched several other new and successful divisions that complement our traditional accountancy services.

“These include ITwiser, which offers impartial IT advice and BusinessWiser, which is plugging the gap left by the closure of Business Link, and we’re confident that we can replicate these successes with Project:Search.”

A year ago, Clough & Company, which has around 80 staff in West Yorkshire, boosted its national footprint by acquiring the corporate financial arm of London-based practice, MGR.
