Seven second year legal trainees at the Bradford and Leeds offices of Gordons have successfully qualified as solicitors and will be retained by the practice as part of its controlled growth strategy.
The newly qualified solicitors will join and strengthen the firm’s existing corporate, commercial litigation, commercial property, personal law and contentious wills, trusts & probate teams.
Philip Paget, Gordons’ training partner and head of employment, said: “We understand that an important aspect of maintaining our controlled growth is to recruit and nurture outstanding people that are able to enhance our culture and deliver an excellent service to our clients.
“All seven of the newly qualified solicitors have shown outstanding ability, determination and dynamism during their time with us so we are very pleased to be able to offer them roles within the firm.
“We look forward to working with them as their careers develop at Gordons”.
Gordons currently employs 250 people, 180 of which are fee earners.
The firm’s turnover for 2008-09 was £21.7m and it is one of the UK’s Top 100 practices.
