Richard Carr has been promoted to managing director of independent insurance brokers JM Glendinning Life and Pensions Ltd.

Mr Carr, who joined the firm five years ago was previously sales director.

Since taking over as head of the financial services division of the Guiseley-based firm, he has built and led an eight-strong team as part of plans to make it a leading regional financial planning and advice business.

Richard said: “We are an ambitious company with a determination to give first class advice and service to our existing and new clients. To be recognised for my contribution and given this new responsibility makes me especially proud.”
