A Bradford man who launched a digital company after being made redundant was among winners at the Yorkshire Biz Awards.

Wez Guy founded 3D production service Viewpoint Digital in April with partner Jaime Herke to offer innovative three-dimensional digital media and graphics services.

With this year’s Biz entries up by 20 per cent Huddersfield-based Viewpoint Digital beat competiton to win the Enterprise Through Innovation category.’ Mr Guy said: “Because we only set up in business in April we really didn’t think we were established enough to win this year’s Biz Awards. Knowing we had a strong and innovative business proposition, we wanted to give it a go because we knew the profile we’d gain from even a shortlisting would be a huge boost to the business.”

The Yorkshire Biz Awards recognises those who have triumphed over adversity.
