BRADFORD-based air management company Mansfield Pollard has been named contractor of the year at a recent awards ceremony.

The firm picked up the inaugural award at this year’s Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Yorkshire Awards.

The award recognises Mansfield Pollard’s high levels of service, quick response times, and innovative approach.

This is the second year the awards have taken place to celebrate the achievements of the building services industry in the region, and showcase companies, projects and individuals that have made outstanding contributions.

Picking up the award, Mansfield Pollard managing director Joanna Robinson said: “We were honoured to win the CIBSE Yorkshire Contractor of the Award – an achievement made possible by the sheer hard work and commitment of all who work for or with Mansfield Pollard.

“Winning this award further cements the confidence that people have in our ability to develop ‘best in class’ solutions for the most complex air management applications, and deliver exceptional levels of customer service.

“Everyone in the business can be extremely proud of this latest achievement. We win these prestigious awards because of the hard work, commitment, skills, foresight, and passion of our people.”

The judges were impressed with the firm’s ability to create effective collaboration between its staff and contractors at all stages in projects, its exemplary health and safety practices, and its ability to deliver bespoke designs for complex and challenging projects.

Simon Owen, chairman of CIBSE Yorkshire, said: “It was great to see Mansfield Pollard win the Contractor of the Year Award.

“It highlights the importance of their investment in people and their business as well as their commitment to the region.”

Mansfield Pollard, based in Parry Lane, Dudley Hill, was founded in Bradford more than 150 years ago as a sheet metal specialist to the wool industry, before evolving into the air management industry.
