AN environmental architect whose projects have been inspired by termites has been invited to give a talk in Bradford.

Mick Pearce, a British Zimbabwean, is best known for his signature buildings, the Eastgate Building, in Harare, Zimbabwe, and the Councul House 2 Building, in Melbourne, Australia. He has carried out work in Australia, China, the USA and Africa.

His visit to Bradford has been organised through Joe Marema, a member of an informal community of South Africans in Bradford calling themselves People Living Consciously (PLC).

Mr Marema said: “I met Mr Pearce some time ago and we became good friends.

“I think his lecture will be most inspirational and will motivate people to live outside of the box.”

The talk takes place at City Hall on Saturday, April 8, between noon and 3pm.
