A BRADFORD restaurant is set to expand by opening its second site in the city.

Mughals opened a 150-seat capacity restaurant and sweet centre on Leeds Road in 1988, which now employs 25 people.

It is now looking to open a second branch, which would be a 40-seater, on Great Horton Road, on Friday, March 17, at noon.

The second site is set to employ 15 people, most of whom will have full-time roles.

Mohammad Bilal, 25, owner, whose father, Mohammad Abdul Rashid, who is now retired, opened up the first shop, said: “We have had a lot of people say why don’t we open up outside of Bradford.

“But I am Bradford born and bred and want to stay here.”

The business is still looking for waiting and kitchen staff for the new restaurant.
