DELEGATES at a major Bradford business conference will have a one-off chance to benefit from a multi-million pound digital initiative to improve online skills.

The Google’s Digital Garage project will form part of the YEN Expo Business Conference on October 25.

It will will brief delegates on how to make the most of their websites and improve their digital presence across social media, online video and Google My Business.

A 40-minute presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with Google digital experts.

Digital Garage is part of Google’s commitment to train two million Europeans in digital skills, which includes free tutorials on everything from websites to online marketing and beyond.

It is supported by the Confederation of British Industry, the Federation of Small Businesses, Business is Great and the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills.

The YEN Expo conference, which attracts around 1,000 delegates and 50 exhibition stands, is coming to Bradford to help local businesses develop their online skills.

The multi-million pound initiative to provide 200,000 British businesses with digital support will run a one-off training seminar at YEN Expo Business Conference on Tuesday, October 25, at Bradford College’s David Hockney campus.

The 'Tell Your Story Online' session, starting at 11.30am, will teach delegates how to make their website shine across all devices and improve their digital presence across social media, online video and Google My Business.

A 40-minute presentation will be followed by a Q&A session allowing delegates to put specific questions to Google digital experts.

The project was brought into Yorkshire under a partnership with Leeds City Council, and Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership.

YEN Expo 2016, previously known as Bradford Business Conference, is organised by YEN (Yorkshire Enterprise Network) and the Telegraph & Argus and is a full-day event held at the multi-million pound college building on Great Horton Road, Bradford.

It features a broad cross-section of seminars, business clinics and networking events, plus a line-up of inspirational speakers. Other partners are Bradford College, Bradford Council, Malik House Business Centres, FSB, and Business Enterprise Fund.
