Muslim fashion retailer Aab is the latest to say it is coming to Bradford’s new Broadway shopping centre.

The brand, which opened its first shop in London six months ago, has chosen Bradford for its second outlet.

It has now started fitting out its 2,500 sq ft store in the £260 million shopping centre, which opens on November 5.

Nazmin Alim, creative director of Aab, said: “This move into Westfield Bradford is a sign of the increasing consumer confidence in modest fashion and how increasingly mainstream it is becoming day-by-day.”

Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s portfolio holder for skills and culture, said: “I’m really pleased to see that such a distinctive and quality brand is locating in the Broadway shopping centre.

“The designers they are stocking are of world-renown and the owners obviously recognise that there is a fantastic investment opportunity here in Bradford.”

Aab is the second retailer bringing Islamic fashions to the Broadway, after specialist Pakistani fashion retailer Khaadi was signed up last year.
