YOUNG social entrepreneurs from Bradford have celebrated their achievements.

They were recognised by The Building Futures project which supported 12 people aged 16-21 to develop ideas.

An event was organised by Shipley-based social housing provider Incommunities and UnLtd.

Those recognised were Lauren Adams, Laurence Kelly, Ubaid Fazil, Khayyam Bhatti, Conor Healy, Aqib Munir, Terri Schofield, Aisha Saddique, Noor Uddin and a team of three, Summayah Khalil, Lorretta McIntosh and Rozina Tariq.

They tackled projects backed by mentoring support from Incommunities staff and the charity, Participate Projects.

Projects included running dance classes for disengaged young people, turning a neglected plot of land into a community garden, running employability workshops for the vulnerable and producing a book to help people with life challenges.

The youngsters shared £13,000 in small grants awarded by Incommunities and UnLtd.
