MILLER homes, which has housing developments in and around Bradford, increased completions by more than 28 per cent in the half year to June 30 on the back of strong demand, with reservations rising by 11.5 per cent. Edinburgh-based Miller Homes increased turnover by 40.2 per cent to £175.4 million through increased volumes with the average selling price increasing by 11.9 per cent to £198,000. This reflected an increased focus on larger houses in suburban locations along with with modest price inflation.
Profit before interest and exceptional items was up 189.4 per cent to £19.1 million , with operating margin rising to 10.9 per cent from 5.3 per cent a year earlier. nThe company expanded its land bank to 8,987 plots, equivalent to five years’ supply.
