A Skipton travel agency founded 25 years ago has been acquired by another North Yorkshire operator.
Spear Travels has completed the acquisition of Neil Rankin Travel, taking the total number of agencies it operates to nine, including five Yorkshire locations.
Spear Travels also has 16 home-based travel advisors.
Peter Cookson, Spear Travels managing director, said: “We are very happy to add Skipton to our growing portfolio of outlets and we welcome customers of Neil Rankin Travel, past and present, to our business.
“Spear Travels has a proud record of providing an independent and unbiased service to the travelling public and we are looking forward to building on the excellent reputation that Neil and his team have built in the town over the past 25 years.”
Spear Travels recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and last month won the Best Travel Agency in the Midlands, Yorkshire & the North East category at the Travel Industry Agent Achievement Awards.
