TETLEY Ruth Winifred Peacefully, at her home in Wyke, on Friday, August 3, after a short illness, Ruth aged 86 years. The dearly loved wife of the late Jim, much loved sister of Shirley, very dear aunt of Chris, David, Elizabeth, Lucy and Trish, also the dearest great-aunt to Alice, Rosie, Jason and David. Retired former Headmistress of Feversham School and Deputy Head of Undercliffe School. Ruth's lasting legacy is to the hundreds of children who passed through her schools. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The funeral will take place at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium, on Friday, August 10, at 2.30pm as a celebration of Ruth's life. Family flowers only, at Ruth's request please, donations in lieu would be appreciated for the benefit of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance for which a collection box will be provided following the service.
