FOUR victories out of five games at home certainly sounds like promotion form for Bradford & Bingley.

However, the ninth-placed SSE North One East club are being held back by an away record of five defeats and a draw.

Bees coach Stuart Dixon said: "It is easy when you are at home because things are more familiar but we must start playing with the same enthusiasm away from home and try a bit harder.

"Last Saturday's 18-14 defeat at Alnwick was disappointing because we created some chances and, with a little more accuracy, we could have won."

At least they welcome back the robust robust presence of Richard Tafa at centre for the home match against third-placed Wheatley Hills, who are set to have much the bigger pack.

Tafa, who went to watch his Tongan countrymen play Scotland last Saturday, replaces Josh Seal, who is likely to be on the bench.

Baildon, like the Bees, were relegated last season but the Jenny Laners lost seven of their opening eight matches in Yorkshire Three.

It looked very likely that they were destined for a second straight demotion.

However, two wins in their last three matches have painted a much rosier picture, and they are favourites to make it three wins out of four as they take on next-to-bottom Aireborough in a derby at Jenny Lane.

Old Grovians, under astute trio Martin Whitcombe, Dave Lister and Dan Nulty, are five points clear at the top and must be confident of another victory at third-from-bottom Stocksbridge.

The Apperley Bridge club made it ten wins from 11 matches last weekend in an eventful 37-36 home scoreline against Rotherham Phoenix, with the hosts picking up a red card (Adam Weaving) and five of the six yellow cards.

However, Whitcombe said: "We got what we wanted from the match in terms of league points but we will still be without Ben Brown because of concussion and are also missing Chris Baines due to a family commitment."
