LEE Gaskell and Dale Ferguson have both signed two-year deals, keeping them at the Provident Stadium until at least the end of the 2016 season.

Ferguson has endured an injury-disrupted debut campaign at Odsal but Gaskell has impressed since arriving from St Helens.

Despite yesterday’s relegation for Jimmy Lowes’ men, Gaskell said: “I wanted to stay with Bradford regardless and am really excited by Jimmy's long-term plans for the club.

“It looks as though there could be a host of new faces coming in and it would be nice to see a few of the other boys stay put too.

“I just want to be able to go out there, give my all and perform in Bulls colours because I love it here.”

Ferguson is aiming to bounce back with a bang in 2015 after being hampered by numerous injury setbacks this year, resulting in just a handful of outings since arriving at the club.

“I have had an extremely frustrating season but the Bulls have really stood by me,” he said.

“I owe a huge amount to everyone involved with the club and I am determined to pay back the faith shown in me.

“I am really looking forward to the future and am relishing the challenges ahead.”

Lowes has described the re-signing of Gaskell and Ferguson as “just the start”, with building work for next season now well underway.

“Both Lee and Dale are of high quality and we believe it is vital to our future success to retain as many members of our current squad as possible,” insisted the Bulls boss.

“Regardless of what division we ply our trade in, quality is of great importance in terms of future success.

“Lee is going to be a key figure for us in the middle of the park and, as we have seen this season, he can be very versatile.

“Dale's attitude is great - he is fantastic to have around the place. He is certainly a team player and I am excited about what he will bring to the party next year and beyond.

“This is a very strong club, with a bright future ahead, and, to those doubting that, I believe this announcement is a real statement of intent.

“We are in the process of building a squad for next season and this is just the start for us.”

Can't make my mind up about Ferguson. Is he injured or just work shy?
Hope its just a case of bad luck this season because from what little i've seen of him he's looked a good player.

This could be two decent signings which to build upon for next season

Some positive news for next season at last

Look at Fergusons record at other clubs and you will realise he is a hard worker. Hudds didn't want to lose him. It looks like he has simply had terrible luck with injury. They must have had medical advice and if the specialist says he will be fine again then it is a good signing. I would expect his contract to take into account this years injury woes. Two SL quality players. We need to build a SL quality side because we will be playing them again in the play-off's this time next season.

No player wants to be injured nearly all season,, Ferguson is a good player if Jimmy Lowes has faith in him then axelgrease you've now't to add! Lee Gaskell again crocked at Wakefield in our first game fought back, I must admit he always shows up as a clever stand off in the' top of the ground man mould' here we have a player around which a team can be built(BUT don't play him at full back) The next signings will be crucial as defensive qualities are what we will expect. Oh for a Graham joyce and Dennis Trotter second row.. and a clever, clever scrum half they will be there, just hope Jimmy can sign them

If it`s right that contracts were null and void upon relegation surely if Ferguson was a shirker he would have been shown the door whether he found another club or not. Maybe he is genuinely injured. But hey ho Axel Grease the colloids shift monkey knows better than Lowes and Green.

Sorry but I for one am sick of here these derogartory posts on here. any rugby fan know Lee Gaskell AND DALE FERGUSON are absolutely top class SL players.

Dale is a machine that has had hard luck through injury. At some point in a rl career, a season long injury is almost inevitable. I for onje was massively impressed when he signed for us and to be able to kepp him and Lee Gaskell is massive for this club!! These are definately 2 players I thought would be snapped up elsewhere.

Well done boys and THANK YOU for sticking with us. I lookn forward to cheering you on round the "old school" grounds next year!!

I fell off my chair reading this. We've given Lord Lucan a 2 YEAR contract!

Sorry Jimmy, but now I fear nothing is going to change.

Unbelievable.

Ferguson reminds me a lot of when we signed David Solomona years ago. He's a good quality player as long as we can keep him fit. When he has played he's looked good, I just hope we can get him back to that form.

These are two great signings. The only draw back is, no matter what good news comes out of Odsal, there'll always be idiots trying to put a downer on it. But what do you expect from brain dead, know nowt, cretins. Axel, Pablo, TVOR, Out of S*ite, et al.

Great signings, more to come, Onwards and Upwards.

just because people give a diffrent view to yours or anybody else no need to slag them off.
On the face of it, based on what we have seen off Fergurson it does seem a bit strange but when fit he is a SL player
Gaskell for me does not have that quick turn of pace that a S/O needs but now we have stepped down a level may fit the bill.

I don't know which games you or JL have been watching but I have watched every game home and away, and Gaskell is awful player. No character, when the going gets tough he just hides, you watch his body language. He will not be able to cope with the physical championship where the refs are a little loser with the rules.

Ferguson pass, he was good last year, but not any better than the loose forwards we had, depends if he gets and stays fit.

One that has also been at the games and someone who plays and coaches the game!

Sorry but u are so wrong. He has loomed average at times I admit but does that not come from being injured early on, playing out of position and not had any consistency on his role?

Super league is not like amateur game where u can get away with putting people out of position. SL is professional and good players will attack weaknesses like players out of position and make them look average.

Sorry but these are two class signings that JL has done well to sign back up.
