KEIGHLEY-born Jonny O'Mara missed out on an opportunity to extend his quarter-final today in the $15,000 Great Britain Pro Series Tournament at Ilkley.
The 19-year-old, who was at a career-high 842 in the world last month, served for the second set of his match against fourth seed Neil Pauffley.
However, O'Mara dropped his serve and went on to lose 6-3, 7-5, thereby denying him the chance of a last-four clash tomorrow against unseeded fellow Briton LewisBurton.
The latter defeated Andrew Watson – conqueror of second seed Ed Corrie on Thursday – 6-4, 6-4 to reach his first semi-final since Thailand in February .
The other semi-final is between third seed Brydan Klein, the Australian who switched his allegiance to Britain last year, and fifth-seeded defending champion Marcus Daniell, of New Zealand, who beat Britain's Julian Cash 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Klein defeated home-based Keelan Oakley 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.
