SOCCER: Albion Sports only handed out two awards at their presentation evening.
Manager Kulwinder Sandhu said: “We don’t go overboard but we feel that overall everyone has contributed to the season.
"We like to get everyone together and have a great night for each and every one of the people involved with our club. It’s our thank you to them.
“Danny Facey was voted the players’ player of the year and Danny Brown was the runner-up. The other award, for clubman of the year, went to Ray Watling, who is our physio. That was a very popular award, and Danny also ended as top scorer.
“We have told the players to report back for pre-season next Tuesday (June 24) and I hope they will all be there. They all said they would be there but we all know what it's like at this time of the season at our level.
“Other clubs are showing an interest, and I’m well aware of that because we had a good season. You hear things on the grapevine but the players told me they would be back. The proof will come next Tuesday.”
