A CANNABIS farm was discovered following a house fire this afternoon. 

West Yorkshire Police said they were called by the fire service to a detached house in Hazelhurst Brow, in the Daisy Hill area of Bradford.

While searching the property, a cannabis farm was discovered. 

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said crews from Fairweather Green and Bradford were called to the scene at just before 4pm. 

He said three pumps went , one with an aerial appliance to fight the blaze from roof level.

Four breathing apparatus and two hose reels were also used and continued until 7.20pm.

A lot of the house was badly damaged.

Fire investigators have been to try and discover the cause of the blaze.

It is not thought anyone was at the property at the time.
