A HOST of shops on one of Bradford's busiest roads say they are taking a stand against terrorism by promoting the hotline people should call with any safety concerns.

A total of 11 premises have put up signs in their windows highlighting the police anti-terrorist hotline of 0800 789 321, which should be used to report any terror threats.

The scheme has been led by Aftab Gull, owner of the school uniform and workwear shop Personalize, who printed the posters and distributed them to his neighbouring shops for free.

"With the recent attack in London, we wanted to highlight the anti-terror hotline, as a lot of people don't know about it," he said.

"It was about helping the community and raising awareness, particularly among young people.

"We all wanted to pay our respects after what happened in London, and that triggered the idea.

"The shops have all been very keen to take part, and we are hoping more businesses on Manchester Road will get involved."
