DRAWINGS by members of a Bingley Art group are on show at Baildon library in an exhibition which runs until this Saturday.

Bingley Portrait and Still Life Group was founded in the 1960s and is one of Bradford district's oldest art clubs.

And after many changes of venue, the group of some seven artists now meets on Fridays at The Little White House in Bingley town centre.

New member Pam Laking (pictured) trained for four years at Epsom College in the 1970s and joined the group only five weeks ago.

"I haven't done any work for a long, long time and I wanted something to inspire me again and the group is really nice, welcoming and encouraging," Mrs Laking said.

"A wide range of people go along and I'm now practising so that my drawing becomes instinctive again."

The group is always looking for new members and portrait models. More details are available from Malcolm Stead on 01274 774912.
