FOUR people – including two young children – have been taken to hospital following a house fire in Keighley.
The family suffered smoke inhalation when the blaze broke out at their home in Sunny hill Grove, in the Exley Head area of the town.
Firefighters were called out shortly after the latest strike by Fire Brigades' Union members came to an end, at 2pm today.
Crews from Keighley, Bingley and Silsden attended.
Station commander Andy Clayton, of Bingley fire station, said a four-year-old boy in the house had breathed in "a considerable" amount of smoke.
"Our crews worked extremely hard with paramedics on him and he was taken to hospital," he said.
He added that the condition of the second child and two adults was less serious.
The fire started in a bedroom and was contained to the room, but there was slight smoke damage to the rest of the property.
Mr Clayton said the blaze was under investigation but was not being treated as suspicious.
