AN "inspirational" girl has set up a charity fun day at her local church hall in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Bonnie's Summer Madness is planned from 2pm to 4.30pm on Saturday at St John's Church Hall on Wakefield Road, East Bowling. It was the brainchild of 12 year-old Bonnie Priestley.
It will include a host of attractions including face-painting, a bouncy castle, stalls and children's games.
"I had the idea for a charity day when someone I knew got cancer and I wanted to help," said Bonnie, who lives in Ravenscliffe.
"I have been asking people from church and my school, Bradford Academy, to help."
Bonnie's grandmother, June Priestley, who is also a member of the congregation at St John's, said: "Bonnie is an inspiration and we are all very proud of her."
"Everybody is welcome, and we just to celebrate a good day with the local community."
