Police have issued this photo of a man they want to trace in connection with a serious assault.

Carl Vickers, 44, of no fixed address, is wanted by police for questioning about the incident, which happened at a property in Otley Road, Undercliffe, Bradford, on December 10 last year.

Police have been making extensive enquiries into his whereabouts and are now appealing to the public to contact them with any information.

Vickers is believed to be living in the Halifax area, but also has links to Bradford.

The 43-year-old female victim of the assault suffered severe bruising.

A brother of the wanted man was sentenced to three years and nine months imprisonment last month after pleading guilty to attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, in connection with the incident, which was domestic-related.

Vickers is described as white, about 6ft 2ins tall and of average build.

He has a tattoo of a panther's head on his left arm, and another tattoo on his right arm of a red devil, with the word 'slick' beneath it.

Members of the public are advised not to approach him, but to contact police with any information about his whereabouts on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
