TWO schoolgirls were raped in turn at a party by a man nearly twice their age, a jury at Bradford Crown Court heard.

The 14-year-olds were drunk and one had taken cannabis when Daniel Schofield repeatedly sexually abused them in separate bedrooms, it is alleged.

Schofield, 26, of Lynfield Drive, Chellow Grange, Bradford, denies six charges of rape, three counts of sexual activity with a child, and one offence each of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and having a bladed article.

The jury has been told that he admits three offences of sexual activity with a girl aged 14.

Prosecutor Philip Standfast told the court yesterday that the case involved a party at a house in Keighley in September 2012.

One of Schofield's two alleged victims met up with him in Bradford city centre, telling her mother she was staying overnight with friends.

Schofield invited the girl and two of her friends to the party and paid their bus fares to Keighley, the court was told.

He bought vodka and lager and they drank it on the way.

Mr Standfast alleged Schofield knew the three girls were 14 and told them to say they were 16 when they got to the party.

Two of the girls were drunk when they arrived and one took cannabis at the house.

It is alleged that Schofield sexually assaulted and raped the first girl on a bed at the house.

He then knelt on top of the second girl in another bedroom and molested and repeatedly raped her, biting her on the breast.

He went back into the first girl's room and raped her twice and sexually assaulted her, Mr Standfast said.

The jury heard that the girls were crying and a party goer heard one saying: "Get off me."

Schofield became aggressive when confronted by the rape allegations by others at the house, it is said.

He armed himself with a knife and left the house with it.

Mr Standfast alleged that Schofield admitted later that night that he had consensual sex with one of the girls.

He was interviewed three times by the police and each time made no reply.

One of the girls told the police Schofield sat on her chest, took off her onesie and raped her.

"I kept saying "no" and trying to push him off me," she said.

She told how she and her friend were sitting crying together after Schofield had raped them.

The trial continues.
