A BRADFORD primary school put their dancing shoes on for a fundraising day.

Poplars Farm Primary School in Bolton Woods held its Dress up and Dance Day on Friday to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Children and staff dressed up as dancers from all types of dance - including ballerinas, street dancers, tap dancers, rappers and even the king of pop himself, Michael Jackson.

And donning fancy dress helped inspire the pupils during a number of dance themed activities throughout the day.

Everyone who dressed up took a donation to the charity and by the end of the day had collected almost £140.

The event was supported by the School Council, which includes pupils Teigan Hardaker, Levi Hardaker, Maariyah Hussain, Rahees Alam, Hassan Hafidh, Saran Sarai and Hannah Karim.
