AN ITALIAN restaurant is celebrating after being named as a top performing restaurant by travellers on the world’s largest review website.

Pesto, on Prune Park Lane outside Wilsden, has received the 2014 Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence - which is only given to the top 10 per cent of businesses listed on the site.

General manager Ian Russell said: “Customer experience is paramount to us and so we are delighted to win an award purely based on the consistency of the positive reviews we have received through Tripadvisor.”

The accolade is given to establishments that maintain an overall rating of four out of five or higher for the past 12 months.

A Tripadvisor spokesman added: “The Certificate of Excellence award provides top performing establishments like Pesto around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers.”
