A programme of bike rides guided by trained British Cycling leaders will kick off with a ride at Oakwell Hall Country Park in Birstall.
The Sky Ride Local programme offers people the chance to join organised, guided rides of varying distances and difficulties around picturesque parts of Kirklees. It starts on May 11 at Oakwell Hall Country Park, with rides then taking place nearly every Sunday all over Kirklees until mid-October.
Dan Goodey (pictured), British Cycling’s recreation manager for Yorkshire, said: “Whatever your age or fitness level, it’s easy to get involved. We’re delighted to be working with Kirklees Council to make it even easier for local people to get out on their bikes.”
