A city charity is going big in its bid to get the women of Bradford in shape over the Easter weekend.

Keep-fit films will be shown on the Big Screen in City Park which show how exercise can be worked around home life.

Gym instructor Farzana Kauser worked with Womenzone to produce the videos, which are available in four languages – English, Bengali, Polish and Urdu.

She said: “We all know how hard it is to fit in work and exercise, so Womenzone have made life easier and you can exercise while doing housework.

“These films are a bit of light fun and exercise that you can engage the whole family in.

“We really enjoyed making them and we hope that you enjoy having a go at a little light exercise around your daily routine.”

Director of Bradford City of Film David Wilson said: “We’re delighted to be working with Womenzone on this project. Their light touch and sense of humour I hope will get everyone at home working out while doing the spring cleaning.

“It’s also a first for the screen to be sharing films in four languages – all of which are used across the city in different communities – and so we are very proud to be supporting this project.”

Healthier Women, Healthier Communities is a project run by Womenzone which encourages women to get involved in community life, health and social activities and self-care.

They hope to encourage people in Bradford to get healthy by supporting and informing local women on healthier ways to live.

The videos will also be available to watch online at www.bradford-city-of-film.co.uk/big-screen over the weekend and are available now on YouTube.
